Benillup is a town located in the County region, south of the Valencian lands.
Benillup is a population of Muslim origin. It was conquered by the Christians in the middle of the thirteenth century, but I felt it was a place of Moriscos with a total of 37 families, about 150 inhabitants, renowned benillupers and benilluperes (1609).
The San Lorenzo Festivities are the Benillup Festivities. The second weekend of August is celebrated every year.
