General information
Benillup is a town located in the County region, south of the Valencian lands. It is very close to larger population centers such as Cocentaina (county capital, 10 km), or Alcoy (Alcoyano, 15 km). Benillup lies at the foot of the Serra de Almudaina, under the Peña Redonda, and surrounded by the ravines of Caraita and Suffer, which are tributaries of the river Serpis or the river of Alcoy.
